More Dark Souls 3 stuff. I have a hard time imagining any of the Lords of Cinder being able sit properly on their throne lol
Not all of my boss fights were the grim and arduous affair that was Yhorm the Giant. Playing a spellcaster can be a challenge in Dark Souls 3, but it does afford some rather… interesting opportunities.
Thank you to @unrecovered01, and lending me Karis for some jolly cooperation!
JUDGEMENT - IUDEX GUNDYR
The Judgement card calls for a period of reflection and self-evaluation. Through meditation or quiet reflection, you may come to a point of deep understanding about the common themes throughout your life and what you can do or change to avoid these situations in the future. Judgement tells you that you are close to reaching a significant stage in your own journey.
With its theme of awakening to new life, the Judgement card suggests that you have reviewed and evaluated your past experiences and have learned from them. All the pieces of the puzzle of your life are finally coming together to form one, integrated picture of your life story. This integration has healed any deep wounds and you are now in a position to put the past behind you. Your memories no longer haunt you, and you are able to understand and value what has happened to you and what it has taught you about life. Now, you are ready to confront any unfinished business in your life, clear up any misunderstandings and view the future with peace and deep ‘knowingness’ in your heart.
In the very first steps of our journey, Gundyr the judge tests the mettle of all Unkindled who’ve been aroused from their eternal sleep by the toll of the bell. The first crucial moment in our journey is defeating this towering giant– now consumed by the Pus of Man, maybe he remembers nothing but the task he became a slave to, the moment his Prisoner’s chain was bequeathed to him.
Upright: Judgement, rebirth, inner calling, absolution
Reversed: Self-doubt, refusal of self-examination
The nice part about losing to Yhorm repeatedly was it sparking the idea of this conversation. Yhorm is such an interesting character, and I didn’t get to do half of what I wanted to with this bit. But I think less is more here, and considering he’s all too likely hollow, I didn’t want to push it.
